Boa Onda (Good Wave)

£150.00

"Boa onda" is a Portuguese phrase that translates to "Good vibe," though literally it means "Good wave." I was attracted to its last century Hippy surfer sentiment, which is grounded in a healthy respect or awe for nature. I also appreciate that it uses the symbolism of the wave to represent a transient state, alluding to life's inevitable ups and downs and highlighting a shared aspect of the human experience.

Additionally, waves simply look very cool.
